Shooting Leagues
Local leagues for shooters of all experience levels
WHY JOIN a shooting LEAGUE?
League is a great way to meet new people and make new friends through friendly competition, skill-building exercises, and more. Better yet, our leagues are open to men, women, and children of all experience levels.
Join your local Frontier Justice league today! It just might be the best thing you ever do.
League FAQs
How much does league cost?
League pricing is $100 per shooter, which includes a captain's meeting night, 8 weeks of league play, and an awards night with dinner. I encourage all to attend the captain's meeting. It is where we discuss league expectations, assign teams if you join individually, and answer any questions before the league starts. We also cover topics like makeup shoots, if you miss a particular week, answer scoring questions, and any other questions that may arise.
What is the minimum caliber I can shoot in league?
We do not, at this point, have any specific firearms classifications or categories. The only requirement is that you shoot a centerfire caliber, unless you can demonstrate a need to shoot rimfire for health or physical needs. It is recommended that you shoot what you carry every day; we recommend a minimum of 3 magazines and mag carriers. While these are not required, the Course of Fire will be built around having these tools available.
What is the league schedule?
We generally run three (3) leagues a year: Fall, Winter, and Spring. If the league falls over a weekend holiday, we usually skip that week.
Oklahoma: Monday evenings. Open range at 5 pm with COF starting at 6 pm.
Kansas: Monday evenings. Open range at 5 pm with COF starting at 6 pm.
Missouri: Tuesday evenings. Open range at 5 pm with COF starting at 6 pm.
I'm new to shooting. Can I still join league?
Yes. Our leagues are informal compared to other competitive leagues with handgun classifications and divisions; they are designed for all skill levels, with safety and fun at the forefront of each league night.
We recently geared our pistol league around defensive shooting techniques. The idea behind our league is to run our COFs by design to hone real-world skills one would use in a defensive scenario, expose inefficiencies in our skills, and build our comfort and competence with the handgun as a tool.
Leagues are shot in teams, but you can join as an individual. We will place you with other individuals on the night of the captain's meeting to complete team rosters. Also, our leagues are competitive across the FJ locations. While you compete against everyone at your individual location, the league is set up by design to compete against everyone at all locations!
Is there a dedicated course of fire?
COF changes weekly and is designed in-house with input from all of our USCCA-certified instructors. The COF is designed to help build skill sets needed to make you a more confident and efficient shooter under stressful conditions. We use a standard USCCA universal target for our leagues. All leagues shoot the same USCCA target and the same COF weekly. The course of fire changes weekly and may include low-light situations!
