FIRST SHOTS FOR PARENTS AND KIDS – KANSAS CITY, KANSAS
Prerequisites: A parent or legal guardian must accompany each child. The child must be a minimum height of 48 inches and at least 8 years of age. Appropriate for up to 16 years old.
Objective: To give a child (and their parent/guardian) a positive initial firearms experience in the safe handling and shooting of a firearm. Low-recoil .22 caliber firearms can be utilized from our rental fleet ($19 rental fee) or you may bring a firearm to use. The class is geared towards handguns, but .22 rifles are welcome.
Class Description: The class includes safety videos and hands-on instruction in the four firearm safety rules. Safe firearm manipulation is demonstrated and practiced. Emphasis is put on safely firing a firearm and satisfying a child’s natural curiosity about firearms.
