The .223 Remington cartridge was developed in the 1950s and introduced commercially in 1964 as a shortened version of the .222 Remington Magnum. Designers pushed for a 55‑grain bullet traveling about 3,300 fps to stay supersonic to 500 yards, and modern loads push 40–77‑grain bullets between 2,800 and 3,600 fps. This high‑velocity rimless cartridge offers excellent accuracy, flat trajectory and manageable recoil, making it a favorite for varmint control, small‑game hunting, target shooting and even some tactical roles.

Our current selection features the CZ 600 Trail 16″ .223 bolt‑action rifle. Engineered for reliability and precision, this compact rifle pairs a 16.2‑inch barrel with a 10‑round BREN magazine for swift handling and ample capacity. The bolt‑action design and quality craftsmanship deliver consistent accuracy shot after shot, whether you’re sighting in at the range or stalking coyotes in open country. Its lightweight, maneuverable profile makes it an ideal companion for field and range alike.
