Firearms Retailer Frontier Justice Welcomes Retail Industry Pioneer Terry Atwood

Lee’s Summit, Mo. (May 18, 2017) – Frontier Justice has hired acclaimed retail industry pioneer Terry Atwood to join the company as chief retail officer, effective immediately. Atwood will lead Frontier Justice’s retail division as the company begins its expansion.

Recognized as an innovative brand builder in the sporting goods and fashion industries, Atwood brings a wealth of omnichannel experience to Frontier Justice. He spent 10 years of his career with sporting goods chain Galyan's, leading efforts in merchandising, marketing and operations. During this time, Galyan's experienced unprecedented growth and success nationwide before being acquired by Dick’s Sporting Goods in 2004.

Atwood was also instrumental in the creation of Piperlime for Gap Inc. Piperlime was Gap's first horizontal online venture and became an award winning online brand. Gap also tapped Atwood to support the acquisition and integration of Athleta, an active lifestyle retailer, into Gap Inc.

Most recently, he served as the vice president of ecommerce at Academy Sports + Outdoors where he led efforts to launch the company’s website. Academy is now recognized as a powerhouse in the omnichannel arena.
