August 5, 2016 - Frontier Justice launches Back the Blue Month
LEE'S SUMMIT JOURNAL (Lee's Summit, Mo.) - In light of the recent targeted attacks against police officers across the nation, Frontier Justice is showing appreciation for officers and their families.
This week marked the beginning of the first-ever Back the Blue Month, which will take place during August of every year to show support for police officers.
Firearms retailer and training facility Frontier Justice created Back the Blue Month and will offer several free services for officers and their spouses this month, as well as a year-round discount.
Frontier Justice, which partners with the Lee’s Summit Police Department for continued training, is an outspoken supporter of police and military forces.
The following free services will be offered in observance of Back the Blue Month:
• Aug. 10 and 17: Free shooting range fees for any officer with identification
• Aug. 24: Free simulator training all day by appointment for any officer with identification
• Aug. 24: Evening training class for spouses of officers on personal protection and safety
A candlelight prayer vigil in remembrance of fallen officers will also be held at Frontier Justice at 8 p.m. Aug. 24.
“We are eternally grateful for the men and women who put others’ safety before their own every day they put on that uniform,” said Bren Brown, president and owner of Frontier Justice. “We hope that Back the Blue Month allows officers to see that there are so many people who appreciate the sacrifice they make each day to keep their communities safe.”
In addition to special free services offered this month, Frontier Justice offers a year-round 10 percent discount for police offers with current identification – a discount it has offered since it opened in 2015.
Frontier Justice encourages everyone who supports police offers to change their Facebook profile photo to the I Back the Blue decal all month.
